Launch of NB78 Liafjord at Cemre Shipyard

The Launch ceremony of newbuild vessel ‘NB78 Liafjord’ took place on March 4, 2023, at Cemre Shipyard.

This is second ship built for the Norwegian Lie Gruppen, a pioneering company. The NB78 Liafjord has outstanding features in its class.

With the use of Bow-Foil technology on a fishing vessel for the first time to contribute considerably to reduce motions and energy consumption in waves and results in low fuel consumption and emissions while increasing the safety and comfort of the crew on board. Moreover, this technology enables the vessel to maintain higher speeds even in rough sea conditions.

The new hybrid trawler is equipped with electric winches.
